What drywood termites look like
Drywood termites live entirely inside wood, with no connection to the soil. Colonies are smaller than subterranean termites but can be spread throughout a structure.
Signs to look for
- Small piles of hard, six-sided pellets
- Tiny kick-out holes in wood
- Winged swarmers in late summer and fall
- Blistered paint or hollow-sounding wood
